Species Information.

Red-legged Partridge (Perdiz Roja / Alectoris rufa).

Very common and can be seen just about any where including Loja's main street on at least two early mornings.

Common Quail (Codorniz Común / Coturnix coturnix).

A common summer visitor and rare wintering bird with calling birds heard in all months around Huétor Tajar in area 2.

Pheasant (Faisán Vulgar / Phaisanus colchicus).

An uncommon escape from someones pen with just one female seen on a field near Huétor Tajar in area 2 and a second female on the edge of El Turro in the Cacín Valley.
