Area Eight, VF0090.
As with several other areas large parts of square eight is covered by Limestone uplands, Broom and herb scrub and Olives. There are no built up areas to mention but in the agricultural area in the South West there are again large numbers of small farm buildings scattered around, as there are in the second area of agriculture in the North East. Between the two there is extensive Oak woodland with large areas of limestone pavement and scrub. Some of this area of oaks is grazed by sheep and goats and the trees have a strange umbrella like look as all the lower growth has been eaten. The A-402 cuts through in the South linking Alhama de Granada with Venta de Zafarraya before dropping down to the coast. As with most of the squares access is good along the maze of roads and tracks.
