Area Three, VG1010.
This square has the town of Moraleda de Zafayona right in the centre and Villanueva Mesia in the North Eastern corner . The A92 cuts right across just to the North of Moraleda a does the Rio Genil but slightly further North.
South of Moraleda there are areas of mixed agiculture made up Olives, Almonds and Cerials where we still have a good selection of Psudo-steppe species including Little Bustard, Black-bellied Sandgrouse and Stone Curlews.
In the Almonds Great-spotted Cuckoo's are fairly common along with a few pairs of European Roller and plenty of Larks.
Along the Rio Genil there are areas of intensive agriculture and some mixed woodlands before the ground startes to rise into the olive groves again.
